Doug Ramspeck is the author of seven poetry collections and one collection of short stories. A recent book, Black Flowers (2018), is published by LSU Press. Other recent books include Distant Fires, (2020), selected for the Grayson Books Poetry Prize, The Owl That Carries Us Away (2018), winner of the G. S. Sharat Chandra Prize for Short Fiction, and Original Bodies (2014), selected for the Michael Waters Poetry Prize and published by Southern Indiana Review Press.
