Each year, Susanna Kwan draws a set of creatures, puts them on a calendar, and sends them to friends near and far. These drawings, selected from that collection, explore the wonders, anxieties, and troubles of moving through the world in a body. Her intention is to share what is good and strange, within us and between us.

Susanna Kwan writes, edits, and draws in San Francisco. Her work appears in Joyland, The Rumpus, TAYO, and other publications. She has received fellowships from Vanderbilt University, the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto, and Kundiman.
